Members of the Order of St Lazarus are able to join OLJ Australia Foundation
At the March 2022 OLJ Australia Foundation Board meeting, it was agreed that members of the Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem would be encouraged to become members of the OLJ Australia Foundation. OLJ Australia Foundation Selects A New Chairman
In late 2021, the board of the OLJ Australia Foundation, elected a new Chairman, Mr Anthony Kennedy OAM, KHS KLJ. Mr Kennedy took the opportunity to thank the retiring Chairman Mr Ron Banks AM and Secretary Mr David Seaton OAM KNO KLJ CMLJ. “Ron Banks and David Seaton have made a significant contribution to the OLJ Australia Foundation and have ensured the organisation has a bright and cogent future,” Mr Kennedy said.
OLJ Australia Foundation Welcomes New Board Members
The OLJ Australia Foundation welcomed four new members to its Board. Foundation Chairman, Mr Ron Banks AM, said he was delighted to welcome Mr Joe Thorp CLJ, Mr David Slater AM KCLJ CMLJ, Rev Kathryn Watt CHLJ, and Mr Richard Pringle-Jones onto the Board. Secretary of the Foundation, Mr David Seaton OAM KNO KLJ said: “that Foundation was blessed to have such talented and capable new board members. With such a rich set of experiences the organisation is greatly strengthened”.
OLJ Australia Foundation Provides Funds to Bushfire Recovery
In early 2020 the OLJ Australia Foundation launched a Bushfire Appeal to provide some help to those who were suffering. The Chairman of the Foundation was pleased to receive donations of $18,125. This amount was distributed by the Foundation to St Vincent de Paul Society’s Bush Fire Appeal with a condition that it be used to help those described in the Foundation’s Trust Deed. St Vincent de Paul advised that ” … rebuilding from natural disaster relies on the kindness of people like you(r organisation). Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to be there for the growing number of people who need us”.
OLJ Australia Foundation Receives Major Donation
On 5 July 2020, the Chairman of the OLJ Australia Foundation, Mr Ron Banks AM, was pleased to advise members of the OLJ Australia Foundation of a substantial donation. This donation not only helps ensure the foundation is on track to achieve its capital targets but will help ensure more funds will be available for worthy projects.
